Sasha Galliver's
BIOGRAPHY
What can I say? I'm
20 years of age and ever since I can remember
I wanted to be an entertainer. Apparently when
I was 8 months old, I was humming. I think it's
always been in the blood. I inherited my singing
and love of music from my grandfather. He was
David Galliver who was a professor at the Elder
Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide. He also travelled
with his music and sang for the queen and the
pope. He always said I had the potential to be
an opera singer, but I chose to nurture my own
style. Also, my mother pursued interests in music
and theatre. So, really, I had no choice.
I don't know exactly what you
would class my music as, but I'd say a range of
styles, even combined ones if you like. I'm not
aiming to become a pop star, nor am I aiming for
a particular crowd. I just love to enjoy music
and if people want to share it with me, well,
the more the merrier.
A lot of my songs relate to emotions.
You could say I am an emotional person, but a
strong one at that. Writing helps me to express
my true feelings without the distraction of society.
You could say I'm understanding when it comes
to dealing with an emotional roller coaster. I
write about things that express my emotional state
at the time.
One thing I enjoy about music
is I know people can relate to it. Everyone can
understand it because it speaks one language and
that is emotion and everybody has them. I think
music brings people together and even can inspire.
It also helps people to understand what kind of
person I am.
So that's why I love it.
